Group travelling to Cambodia

Cambodia is a great place to visit for its Historical and educational background, so would be a great place for School, college or university trips and people travelling in large groups there is always plenty of sites to see.

Sihanoukville is in southern Cambodia and is a port city, it is the only deep water port city. Sihanoukville is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination to its beaches:

Occheteal Beach is a long and narrow beach which has little drink huts and grass umbrellas and is lined with gorgeous green trees

Serendipity Beach this beach is not good for swimming as it is rocky in the water. But parties are sometimes held on the beach which also has small guesthouse room’s right on the beach.

Victory Beach is popular with low budget travellers and backpackers. It is located in the north of Sihanoukville and has a deep sea port at the end of the beach.

Sokha Beach is the first luxury beach in Cambodia and is privately owned. It has many facilities but is only meant to be used by those people who are staying at the hotel.

This beach is next to Sokha Beach. It is a white sandy beach which was named after the old Independence Hotel.

Another reason for the increased popularity of Sihanoukville is the islands which lie off the coast:

• Koh Russei (Bamboo Island) is the only one of the islands which is developed to allow guests to stay over night. Many places such as hotels and restaurants offer trips to the island.
• Nail Island (Magic Island) is being developed at the moment and will soon have a hotel and restaurant.
• Koh Tang is the island which is furthest away from the coast of Sihanoukville . It has great diving locations which are rarely explored.
• Koh Rong has an amazing beach, fresh-water resources and a bustling fishing community.
• Koh Rong Samlon has a large bay with shellfish cultivation and also has beautiful sandy beaches on the east coast.
